Privacy
Play Your Trip (playyourtrip.com) is run by an individual in Canada. Questions or requests: hello@mynytrip.com.
What we collect and why
- Your trip. Your itinerary is encrypted on your device with your book's password before it reaches us. We store only the locked data and can't read it. We can't recover a lost password.
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email to tell you when we launch, and use it for nothing else.
- Book emails. If you ask us to email your book links, we use your address to send them.
- Payments. Stripe handles payments. We never see your card. We keep a record that your book was paid.
- Pasting your plans. If you use "Fill in my trip", the text you paste is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to build your days, then discarded. We don't store it.
- Visit counts. We count visits, demo plays, sign-ups, books and payments per day: plain totals, no cookies, nothing tied to you.
- Partner links. Some guides link to booking partners (for tickets, tours or hotels). If you follow one, that partner's own privacy policy applies, and it may know the visit came from us. We count clicks on these links, without anything that identifies you.
- Abuse protection. To stop spam we keep a scrambled form of your IP address for up to one hour.
Services we use
Vercel (hosting), Upstash (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Anthropic (AI), Sentry (error reports, which never include your trip, your email or your links). Some of these process data outside Canada, including in the United States.
Your choices
Email hello@mynytrip.com to delete your waitlist email or your book, or to ask what we hold about you. Books are deleted automatically 12 months after their last change.
Children
Books are made by parents for their families. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
